ABOUT THE BIBLE

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, giving a true history of the creation of heaven, earth, and humanity and containing a correct prophecy of the ages to come regarding heaven, earth, and the destiny of humanity. It is the authority for salvation and Christian living (2 Timothy 3:15-17).

ABOUT GOD

There is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4). He is the creator of heaven and earth and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father (Creator), in the son (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit). Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man (Colossians 2:9; 1 Timothy 3:16).  

AM I SAVED?

Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. The New Testament experience of salvation consists of repentance from sin, water baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost, after which the Christian is to live a godly life (Acts 2:36-41).

WHAT IS REPENTANCE?

“Repentance” is the act of acknowleding our sin, sincerely asking Jesus for forgiveness, and turning from that sin.  We are to strive to live a “sinless” life, but if we do fall, we have an advocate with the father, Jesus Christ the righteous.  (I John 2:1)

WHAT ABOUT BAPTISM?

We are buried with him by baptism into death so that we also walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4).  Our past sinful nature is buried and we are to walk a new life in Him.  We baptize in the name of Jesus Christ just like we were instructed in Acts 2:38.  If you haven’t been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ we highly encourage you to do so and you can contact us here to schedule your baptism.
